the word “cool”

I can’t remember the first time I heard this word used in the context I am writing about. It was probably either from watching “Happy Days” or hearing someone at school say it. Hmm, it may have also been in my garage when the kids from the neighborhood first noticed that I had a bicycle that can peddle backwards.

That’s right, that must be the first time I heard it. It was Dennis whom I heard say “cool”. I remember because I did not understand what he meant by that at first. This was the bicycle my dad brought home for me that one night we were still living in the apartment on 3rd street in Los Angeles.
